Established in 2009, The Auckland City Doctors is an RNZCGP Cornerstone Accredited Teaching Clinic.
We are a walk-in clinic. No appointment is needed. Patients are seen on “first-come, first served” basis. We are supported by 3-4 FTE GP with 3 FTE nurses and 4-5 administrators.
The walk-in clinic style has allowed our clinical staff to accumulate significant clinical knowledge to deal with all sort of medical presentation especially the acute cases which are not normally seen in booking-based clinics.
All our clinical staff(doctors and nurses) are local graduates. Among us, we also speak Mandarin, Korean, Cantonese and Taiwanese.
In January 2018, we finished the clinic extension by adding an X-ray suite with another 5 consultation rooms and a new nursing area. This allows us to further extend our services to include urine drug testing, audiology, vision screening, and spirometry.
The Auckland City Doctors is part of the Immigration New Zealand Panel Physicians Network. Again, we do not take booking for the medical assessment.
The waiting time in the clinic can take from 5 up to 90 minutes for both GP consultation and immigration medical assessment. Unless circumstances not allowed, all patients turning up before 4.30 pm will be seen.
Apart from seeing patients with normal flu, cold and dermatological symptoms (infections or allergies), we also manage many patients with chronic medical conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, asthma, connective tissue disease, and depression.
Other Services we routinely provide include:- Sexual health checks, Pregnancy checks, Contraceptive advice, Immunisation, Minor surgery
When indicated, we refer patients to specialists both in government and private sectors. We are supported by The Auckland City Pharmacy which is located next to our premises.
